50th Radley Good Friday Walk
29 March 2013
|
|
The 2013 race marked the 50th anniversary of an event that first took place in 1963. The occasion was not marked by a particularly high turnout, no doubt on account of the very cold weather during one of the coldest Marches on record. After a hard frost the night before, the 50th anniversary event did take place in glorious sunshine, but a chilly easterly breeze took the edge off any warmth there might have been. |

Contestants undertake either the full or half course. Those in front look like they intend going all the way.

11th Radley Triangle 2013

For younger participants and those who favoured a shorter walk, there was the popular Radley Triangle – down over the railway bridge to Lower Radley, around the Lower Radley loop and back. |

Even though it’s sunny, winter clothing and brisk walking were both necessary to keep warm.
