Comments are invited on the Radley Neighbourhood Plan

Radley Parish Council has developed and submitted its Neighbourhood Plan to Vale of White Horse District Council.
 
The District Council invites comments on the plan and supporting documents during a six-week publicity period running from Wednesday 31 January 2018 to 5pm on Wednesday 14 March 2018
 
You can view the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents on the District Council website, www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/radley.
and answer the survey at – http://survey.southandvale.gov.uk/s/Radley/ 

Hard copies of the documents are available to view at

  • St James the Great Church, Radley, OX14 2JN between 9am and 5pm daily, with the exception of when a service is taking place, at the Bowyer Arms during opening hours, at
  • Bowyer Arms, Foxborough Rd, Radley, Abingdon, OX14 3AE.
  • Vale of White Horse District Council’s office, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14 4SB during usual opening hours

How to comment on the Radley Neighbourhood Plan
 
You are encouraged to respond using the online survey which is available by clicking this link: http://survey.southandvale.gov.uk/s/Radley/

If you do not wish to use our online survey, responses can also be made by:

  • email to planning.policy@whitehorsedc.gov.uk
  • post to Planning Policy, Vale of White Horse District Council, 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Abingdon, OX14 4SB
  • completing a comment form available at the above venues and posting or emailing it back to us using the above details.

Please be aware that due to the process including an Independent Examination, your name and address are required for your comments to be considered.  Respondent details and comments have to be forwarded to the Examiner carrying out the Examination of the Neighbourhood Plan after the publicity period has ended.   They will be kept securely during this period and will not be used for any other purpose.  They will be retained only until the plan is made and the deadline for a Judicial Review has passed.
 
If you submit comments, the laid down process cannot allow them to be treated as confidential and they will be published on our website alongside your name.  If you are responding as an individual rather than a company or organisation, we will not publish your contact details. All representations and related documents will be held by Vale of White Horse District Council until the period for a Judicial Review has ended.
 
After the consultation closes, the draft Neighbourhood Plan, supporting documents and the comments received will be sent for Independent Examination.  

The majority of Examinations are expected to be through written representations, however the Independent Examiner will decide whether there is a need for a Public Examination. 
 
The online survey asks for your views on whether there should be a Public Examination on the Radley Neighbourhood Plan. If you are emailing or writing to us, you can state whether you think there should be a Public Examination, as well as the specific reasons for the request.
 
When commenting, you should bear in mind that the Examiner will mainly assess the plan against the ‘basic conditions’.  These are set out in the Basic Conditions Statement which is available on our website and the survey link. You can also request to be notified of Vale of White Horse District Council’s final decision to make (formally adopt) the Radley Neighbourhood Plan.
