Summer at the Radley Lakes. This photo is taken from the Bullfield isthmus, looking across Thrupp Lake.

Plans to fill Thrupp Lake with ash went to Public Consultation in February and are approved by Oxfordshire County Council in July. However, the matter has to go to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government before permission can be given.

Autumn: The Secretary of State decides not to call in the planning application. Dark clouds now overshadow Thrupp Lake.
