| School head's retirement
party |
A cheese
and wine evening was held on Saturday 24 March at 7 pm to
mark the retirement of Radka Benton, who was head of Radley
Primary School for ten years. At least 60 people – staff,
parents, governors, former employees, members of the local
community and Radka's family – attended the event to
bid farewell to Mrs Benton who took early retirement 'before
I get too old to enjoy my hobbies'.
Mrs Benton was presented
with the following gifts:
A framed
painting by a parent, Annabel Eyres, of the school from the
playing field from the School Association
Wine
glasses and a decanter from the governors
A 'Radley'
handbag, champagne and flowers from the staff
Mrs
Benton made a speech of thanks.
