Parish Council rejects Green Belt review

The Parish Council has submitted statements to the independent planning Inspector for stage 2 of his hearings on the Local Plan, which will be held in early February. They argue that the Vale has not made the case for the removal of any on the proposed Radley sites from the Green Belt, and that its handling of the Green Belt review has been unclear, incoherent and arbitrary in the extreme. The Parish Council is pressing the Inspector to remove in their entirety all the Plan’s proposals for Green Belt boundary change, suggesting that properly argued and evidence-based proposals should be brought forward by the Vale at a later stage, if required. If the Inspector accepts the Parish Council’s arguments, all the plans for major development in and around Radley will also need to be withdrawn, and reconsidered at a later stage if necessary.

The Parish Council full statements can be found here.
