Neighbourhood Plan meeting 21 October at 7pm

The Planning Policy and Neighbourhood Plan Group of the Parish Council is currently developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Radley. This will set out planning and land use policies for the parish.

A meeting will be held in the Church Room at 7.00 pm on Wednesday 21 October to consider a programme of work.  Anyone interested in being involved is warmly invited to attend. We propose to focus initially on 5 themes, namely:

  1. The shape of the central part of the village, and the needs and siting of community buildings and open spaces, including the primary school, the village hall, the community shop and a possible health centre;
  2. The requirements of parishioners neighbouring the South Kennington site in relation to plans for that area;
  3. The special circumstances and opportunities for development in the south west part of the parish around Thrupp Lane;
  4. Housing design, density, and tenure and size mix, to apply across the parish;
  5. Infrastructure priorities across the parish including road and other transport provision, sewerage and flood prevention.

We need help from people interested in exploring the issues and developing proposals. Please contact the Clerk, Jane Dymock  (clerk@radleyvillage.org.uk ) or the group chair, Priscilla Dudding (priscilla.dudding@gmail.com) if you think you might be able to help.
