Neighbourhood Plan Update

Work on the Neighbourhood Plan is beginning to come together. We will be holding an exhibition of ideas and plans in the Village Hall over the weekend of 21-22 May, and a questionnaire will be circulated to all Radley households at around the same time. We will also be publishing a report on our emerging thinking.

We want to involve the whole community in the discussion.

  • An on-line forum is now live on the Radley’s Future section of the village website (click here). There are posts commenting on Thrupp Lane issues, the shop, the village hall and housing needs. Please add your views on these matters or on anything else. We’d love to hear them.
  • Oxford Brookes urban planning students will be presenting their ideas for our village in the Church Room on Thursday 28th April at 1.30 pm. Everyone is welcome to come and hear what they have come up with.
  • There will be a short report on Neighbourhood Plan progress and an opportunity to discuss the issues at the Annual Parish Meeting, open to all, on Friday 29 April at 7.30 pm in the Church Room.
  • An exhibition of emerging plans and ideas will be held in the Village Hall over the week-end of 21/22 May.

Offers of help with collecting or analysing the questionnaires will be warmly welcomed. We would also like to hear from anyone with skills in map drawing and desk top publishing. Please contact the Clerk.

The Local Plan

The uncertainty about the Local Plan continues. The public hearing is over but the Inspector has now asked the Vale planners for up-to-date information about 5-year land supply and other matters to be sent to him by 29 April, after which he will produce his interim conclusions. So it will be some considerable time yet before we know for sure what development is coming Radley’s way.
