Parish Plan

Following the very hard work of the Parish Plan Steering Committee, Radley now has a Parish Plan.  This document is essential, as it forms a basis for the future as to how the community wish to see the village develop. Parish Plan is available in four parts

Radley in Numbers

This summary gives a numerical profile of the people living in Radley. All the numbers presented here are for Radley ward. Centred on the village, the ward extends to Peachcroft Farm and Lodge Hill in the west, to Radley Big Wood in the north (including the mobile home parks of Woodlands, Pebble Hill and Bigwood), whilst the eastern and southern boundaries follow the River Thames towards Abingdon. The ward boundary is the same as the parish boundary. clip_image002 (1)
 

Population

Radley has approximately 933 households (compared with 933 in 2001) and is home to 3,200 people , including almost 700 boys between the ages of 13 to 18 years boarding at Radley College. The population has increased by 450 (16%) since 2001. Radley has a higher percentage of 65-74 year olds than average for the Vale of White Horse district, and a smaller proportion of children from birth to 9 years.
The majority of people living in Radley are White British (94%), and 78% of residents state their religion as Christian.

Health and Employment

 
Three quarters of residents in Radley are reported to be in good health with59% of residents in Radley aged between 16-74 years are either employed (85%) or self-employed (13%). The remaining 41% includes a significant number of retired people , plus pupils at Radley College aged 16 years and over.
