Planning Committee

PLANNING COMMITTEE:  Terms of reference


The committee will receive, consider and make respond to planning applications referred to the Parish Council when clerk has been unable to obtain an extension of time from the Vale to allow the application to be considered at the next Ordinary meeting of the Council.

In those circumstances, the committee may consider planning applications referred to it and to make representations to the Planning Authority on behalf of the Parish Council.

The committee may respond to all relevant consultation documents relating to planning and associated matters.

Decisions made by the Committee are binding on the Council.

The Committee is authorised to establish sub-committees and working groups and to appoint advisors when necessary to assist in its work.


Crs Henderson, D Standen, Wittneben, Yorston.  The Chairman and VIce-Chairman are ex-offio members of all committees and working groups

All members of the Parish Council are members of the committee.  3 members will constitute a quorum.

The committee may co-opt members if authorised by the Parish Council.

Frequency of meetings:

The Committee will meet as required, with a minimum of 3 days clear notice given.
