Radley Village Shop

Radley Village Shop is a community co-operative run by a team of some 60-70 volunteers with a paid shop manager. It offers:

  • Basic essentials with an emphasis on higher quality
  • Fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Local produce
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Freshly baked products and sandwiches
  • Ice-creams, sweets and crisps
  • Fairtrade products
  • Off-licence and cigarettes
  • Greetings cards and stationery
  • Mobile phone top-ups
  • Books of 1st and 2nd class stamps
  • Hot drinks to take away

All profits made by the Shop are for the benefit of the community.

The shop’s continued success depends on your support – as a customer, volunteer or member.

Opening Hours :
The Shop is open every day apart from Christmas Day:
Monday to Friday: 7 am to 6.30 pm
Saturday: 8 am to 1 pm
Sunday and Bank Holidays: 9 am to 12 noon

Other facilities

The Peachcroft Shopping Centre (map) in north Abingdon is about 20-30 minutes walk to the west of Radley railway station and includes:

  • Martin McColl (Dillons) newsagents (01235 532304) – delivers to Radley
  • Supermarket – Budgens
  • Chinese takeaway
  • Fish & Chip shop
  • Chemist – Lloyds Pharmacy
  • Hairdressser – Creations
  • Off Licence

Alternatively there are some similar shops in Kennington which is on the 35 bus route to Oxford.
