Radley Flower Show and Mini Fete – Saturday 25th June 2022

Come to the Radley Flower Show this Saturday at Radley Village Hall and Gooseacre playing field – the show will open and entertainment will start at 1.30 p.m.

The Radley Flower Show will have displays in the village hall and outdoors in gazebos; as well as flowers, there will be arts and crafts entries, baking and preserves, photographs, and exhibits by children and teenagers.

There will be a crown parade with categories for both children and adults and small prizes for the winners (make a crown and come to the show wearing it), skittles competition and Grand Raffle.

A number of local organisations will be present at the show this year to provide entertainment and/or information:

  • Live music performed by boys from Radley College
  • Games for all the family by The Friends of Radley Primary School (test your strength, splat the rat, beat the goalie, and a scavenger hunt around the field)
  • Guess the weight of the cake and guess the number of marbles by Radley WI
  • Information about Radley Lakes by Radley Lakes Trust
  • Biscuit decorating by 1st Radley Guides, Rangers and Brownies
  • Information about Kennington Community Larder and the Church by RSK Benefice
  • Radley Retirement Group will be serving coffee, teas and cakes from the pavilion.

Please walk, cycle or take the 35 bus to the show as the car park is small and remember to bring some cash (50p and £1 coins will be useful); you may also want to bring a pen and something to sit on (folding chair or picnic rug).

More information about the Radley Flower Show can be found here.

We need some more volunteers to help us on the day; if you can spare an hour at any time during the day (morning or afternoon), please get in touch – radleyflowershow@gmail.com.
