Radley Lakes Wetland Centre Activities and Events in 2011 (May – Jun)

Up in the canopy. A tree surgeon at work making dead trees safe near the path along the northern shore. Felled timber has been left on the site to provide habitats for wildlife.
Path laying. A small team turned up to finish the task begun earlier in the month.

Above: First two deep holes had to be dug to exactly the right depth. Fortunately the team came equipped with the right tools for the job.

Above: Then the tricky task of lifting and lowering the very heavy wooden structure into the holes without damaging anything, anybody or pushing earth back into the holes.

Above: Finally some levelling adjustments before fixing temporary stays ready for concrete pouring.
