Radley Retirement Group – Newsletter April 2020

What we have been doing

March was our A.G.M. when the Chairman and Committee all agreed to stand for another year.

After the A.G.M we had a very amusing and interesting talk by Anne Borrowdale called “The Invigilator who burnt his trousers”.

The last of our winter film shows was “Judy”, about Judy Garland.  This was only attended by 8 people.  This was probably due to people self-isolating because of the coronavirus or perhaps people thought it would be cancelled.  Those who did attend enjoyed it.

The film shows over the winter months have proved very successful and we hope to start them again in the autumn.

Just a reminder that the subs are now due for this year.  The cost is the same as last year, £8 for a single member and £14 for a couple.

Don’t forget the “Meet and Mingle” sessions at the Bowyer Arms each Monday from 12pm where you can have a chat with others. Perhaps check that this is still going ahead.

Future dates

Our next meeting has been cancelled as has the Bingo for the foreseeable future.
