Radley Retirement Group – Newsletter April 2022

rrg

What we have been doing

April was our AGM where it was decided that the entrance fee would change from £1 to £2 starting in April.  It was also decided to reluctantly increase the annual subs from £8pp (or £14 for a couple) to £10 for everyone, beginning in January next year.  This has come about as we have to pay increased hall charges and the speakers have become very expensive. After the Business we had a “Virtual Quiz” by Chris, which turned out to be “Who wants to be a Millionaire” with us being the contestants.  We voted the answers and the majority was accepted. This was very entertaining.

The people who watched the first part of the James Bond film “No time to die” the previous week were able to watch the ending before the meeting began.

18 people were able to enjoy our last film of the season.  This was the “Buddy Holly story.”  We will start our outings each month now until October, when we hope to show films again.

We are still looking for someone to take over as Treasurer so would welcome anyone who feels able to take this on.
