Radley Retirement Group – Newsletter December 2015

What we have been doing:

Due to the village hall being decorated the Vicar kindly allowed us to use the Church for our monthly meeting. This was quite an appropriate venue as our talk was “Westminster Abbey” by Geoff Roberts. He gave us plenty of information about the Abbey . After his talk we all went to the Church room for a cup of tea and Mr Roberts and his wife were able to join us there.

Our trip to Cheltenham was another successful day out. There were a few heavy showers but most people managed to avoid them and the wind only seemed to get up when we were waiting for the coach home. Most people did some of their Christmas shopping while others found art galleries and museums to visit. The return journey was good and we managed to avoid any traffic holdups.

Future dates…….

We have not got any more trips arranged for this year but there is a very good programme of trips coming up next year, so watch this space.

Theatre trips

Again watch this space for any theatre trips coming up next year.

Our next meeting will be a “Bring and Share Christmas Party” where we hope to have some entertainment provided by Nick.
Doors are open at 1.30pm and the meeting starts at 2pm.

I will report on the holiday to Lytham St Ann’s next month.
