Radley Retirement Group – Newsletter February 2017

For our January meeting we had our annual 50/50 auction to raise money for our funds. It was, as usual, hosted by Eric Blanks who did an admirable job selling all the items donated, helped as usual by Christine Wootton. Carole Milward and Joy Riley showed all the items to members and Judith Bland gave tickets to the new owners of the goods in order that they could pay at the end of the auction to Sue Ward. This year we had a good variety of items which all sold very quickly.

Also in January, we had our Anniversary lunch. This year, it was again held at Coseners House and was enjoyed by all who attended.

Just a reminder to those who may have forgotten, that the subs for 2017 are now due. (£8 for members and £14 for a married couple)

Our first outing for the year will be in April to the Royal Mint and Cardiff Bay.

If anyone is interested in going on any of our trips please contact Diane Shaw on 01235 527158 or Carole Milward on 01235 526326 to see if there are any spaces.

The first visit to The Playhouse this year will be to see the English National Theatre production of “The Silver Lining”. This will be in February.
