What we have been doing Chris took charge of our Annual Auction for our first meeting of 2022. We had a wide variety of gifts brought by members to auction and all of them were taken up in the auction. Thank you to all those who either brought gifts to auction or bought on the day. Diane once again organized a lovely meal for our Anniversary lunch at Cosenors house. This was well attended by 38 members and enjoyed by all. Subscriptions are now due for this year. They are £8 per person or £14 for a couple
URGENTLY REQUIRED Our Treasurer Sue Ward, is standing down from this post at the AGM after 10years of magnificent service. We desperately need a replacement or the Club cannot continue and with a membership of around 70 plus members, that would be a shame. Sue is more than willing to help anyone taking on the position and will guide them through the initial stages and is willing to help in any way she can. You don’t need to be an accountant just someone who is organized. The systems are all in place they just need to be followed. Please think about this and come forward if you can help.
Future events The following outings have been arranged by Graham. April: Milestones Museum May: Royal Mint Cardiff June: Cambridge Botanical Gardens July: Weymouth August: Bucklers Hard + river trip September: Morton in Marsh and Batsford Arboretum November: Christmas Market TBA These trips are open to all (you do not have to be a member of RRG to go on these) but members have priority. If you interested then please contact Graham Collett on 01235 555187. February 15th: Film Show in the Village Hall at 2pm: A James Bond film.
Holidays We are still hoping to go to Malta in March (Government restrictions allowing).
Llandudno: In May we will be staying at The Chatsworth House Hotel. The cost is £360pp, with a single supplement of £20. Deposits of £40 must be paid by 15th February with the balance in April. If you are interested in this holiday, please contact Chris Gasson on 01235 526377 or chris.gasson51@gmail.com Again these holidays are open to all but members have priority but its always worth trying as not always all places are taken.
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 8th February when we will have a Gardening talk and there will be items for sale.
