What we have been doing

Our annual auction was this year compared by Chris Gasson as Eric Blanks had retired from this position.  This again proved an entertaining afternoon with many bargains to be had.  Chris made it a very entertaining time with quips about some of the items.  We had quite a few biscuits and chocolates going “for a song”, along with other unwanted Christmas gifts.  A big thank you to all  who brought things to auction and those who bought them as this is a fund raising afternoon for the Club, but we hope entertaining too.

Just a reminder that the subs are now due for this year.  The cost is the same as last year, £8 for a single member and £14 for a couple.

The Anniversary Lunch held at Coseners House was a great success and enjoyed by all who attended.

On Saturday February15th we are having our “Party with Entertainment” provided by the kind donation of the Clerk of the Green Cloth last year.  This is for members only and by ticket.

Don’t forget the “Meet and Mingle” sessions at the Bowyer Arms each Monday from 12pm where you can have a chat with others.

Future dates

Our next meeting is Tuesday 11th February when John Huddleston will tell us about his Investiture at Buckingham Palace.
