What we have been doing

June was our “Summer meeting” when we had scones with jam and cream and tea and were entertained by Julian Annells with music from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s.

We were also reminded about the “Get together” meetings at Bowyer Arms each Monday from 12pm.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms were predicted for the day chosen as our visit to the seaside at Hastings but fortunately this didn’t happen while we were there.  We were able to stroll along the promenade in warm weather and some of us visited the Fisherman’s Museum and the Shipwreck Museum while others walked further afield or stayed within the centre of the town to shop. Our return home was a little longer than expected as we had to do a detour because of traffic holdups but never the less a good day out was enjoyed by all.

Future dates

Our next meeting is Tuesday 9th July

The speaker this month is Carol McKay who will talk to us about “Environmental Health”
