Radley Road / Foxborough Road – Overnight resurfacing

OCC have given notice that they are carrying out some resurfacing along the Radley Road between the Twelve Acre Drive roundabout and the junction with Foxborough Road/Gooseacre in Radley.

Closure Details:

Works are programmed to be undertaken over two overnight weekday shifts, Friday 19th & Monday 22nd August; 19:00 – 06:00hrs.

There will be no works over the weekend and the road will be fully reopened outside of the above hours.

Buses:

Oxford Bus operate a scheduled service, ‘City35’ which runs every half hour in both directions throughout the day from 05:50 to 0000hrs (midnight). The early-bird service at 05:50 will be accommodated as the road should be fully reopened by this time.   Unfortunately letting through buses every half hour in the evenings would add additional shifts and costs to the work so will not be possible. However, a shuttle service has been agreed and will be provided between the Redbridge P&R and Radley with the main service then following the diversion up from Abingdon along the A34 to the same P&R terminus.  The shuttle bus will run between 19:00 – 0000hrs across the 2 shifts, namely Fri 19th & Mon 22nd August and will utilise Church Road and St James Road creating a loop around the village. This will enable all scheduled stops to be covered and the service to continue operating.
