The Parish Council expects to receive about £1.5m in payments from developers over the next few years under the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) scheme. The sum of £630k has been allocated provisionally to upgrade the village hall, pavilion and other community facilities at Gooseacre. A public consultation was held in February/March 2021 on what should be done with the facilities and an architect was appointed in September 2021 to develop plans. An exhibition of his plans was held in the village hall in April/May 2022. It is hoped to submit a planning application for the work in July 2022 and to start work on the ground in early 2023.
