The Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II was celebrated across The Nation over four days from Saturday 2nd June to Tuesday 5th June 2012. The main celebrations took place in London, of course. In Radley, the occasion was marked by fancy-dress procession and a “Field Party” on the village playing field on Saturday 2nd June. Afternoon teas were served at the Radley Lakes on Monday afternoon. Many other events took place in nearby villages and towns across the four days. The weather was mixed, with fine weather on Saturday and on Monday. Rain fell in bucketfuls throughout Sunday, while Tuesday was cloudy but mainly dry with a little rain arriving later in the afternoon.
