Radley Retirement Group – Newsletter June 2021

rrg

We will be back!!!!!

We hope to hold our first meeting on Tuesday 29th June (Government restrictions allowing)   (Please note the change of date due to Government restrictions). We will have a cream tea and entertainment to welcome everyone back after such a long time. If you intend to come could you please let either Judith on Ab 531001 or  Sue on Ab 524406 know to enable us to cater for everyone.

We hope to see lots of members and some new ones too.  The joining fee for new members this year will be £4 or £7 for two people from the same household.  If you paid your subscriptions for 2020 there will be no charge for this year

We would like to invite two more members onto the Committee.  If you can spare about 1 hour a month to attend Committee meetings we would welcome you with your fresh ideas.  If you feel you could join us then please do get in touch with Chris on Ab526377. It isn’t a difficult job but very rewarding and you are able to have an input into the Clubs activities.

Outings

  1. Graham has been busy organising our outings and we propose to go to the Cambridge Botanical Gardens in July.  The coach people have assured us that every precaution has been taken to make our journey safe.  The cost of this trip is £28 plus the entrance to the gardens.  Please get in touch if you would like to go on this trip.
  2. The next trip will be to Bucklers Hard but more details of that later.

Holidays

  1. The holiday to Eastboune is almost full which is very good.
  2. The holiday to Majorca is going ahead as long as government restrictions allow and the balance for this has to be paid to Saga by July.

General

Chris has now set up a Facebook page for members.  This can only be accessed by other members, so is not “public”.  If you would like to see this page on Facebook  please contact Chris and he will give you access.  On here he will post any items of news that arises between meetings.

While we have been in lockdown Carol has been selling some of our books outside her house to raise funds for the Club, so if you are passing do stop and browse.
