Radley Retirement Group – Newsletter March 2022

What we have been doing

Sam Mallett gave us a very interesting talk about gardening at our February meeting.  She brought with her several garden plants and told us where they should be planted and how to care for them.  She answered lots of questions from members.  The plants were sold at the end of the meeting and the arrangement of plants she made up was given for the raffle.

Subscriptions are now due for this year. They are £8 per person or £14 for a couple.

We are still requiring someone to come forward to be our Treasurer.  Sue has done 10 years as our Treasurer and feels it is now time to stand down.  We cannot continue without a Treasurer, so please do consider this and speak to Chris Gasson.

There were 14 people who came to watch the James Bond, “No time to Die” film shown in February.  As it was a long film, we had a break in the middle for a cup of tea and time to stretch our legs.  Unfortunately, when Chris came to resume the film, it went back to the beginning and he could not get it to start where we had left off.  Undaunted by this it was unanimously decided to show the second part at 12.0’clock before the meeting on the 8th March.

Our next meeting is on March 8th which will be our AGM.  After the meeting there will be a “Virtual Quiz”.
